Celebrating a legacy of football and community strength since 1946

The Mid South East Football League (MSEFL) was established in 1946 and has been a cornerstone of football in the South East region of South Australia. Based around the town of Millicent, the league currently comprises nine clubs: Glencoe, Hatherleigh, Kalangadoo, Kongorong, Mount Burr, Nangwarry, Port MacDonnell, Robe, and Tantanoola.

From its early days, the MSEFL has played a vital role in fostering both senior and junior football, with a strong emphasis on community and sportsmanship. A key feature of the league is its close partnership with the Mid South East Netball Association, which has helped cement its reputation as the “Family League.” This connection has ensured a welcoming, community-driven environment where multiple generations come together to enjoy and support local sport.

Over the years, the MSEFL has produced talented footballers and passionate club rivalries, contributing to the rich sporting culture of the region. With a proud history and deep community ties, the league continues to thrive, providing a competitive yet family-friendly sporting experience for players and supporters alike.
